FSID CHARITY GIG 13-03-06
Fridays Charity gig in memory of Sam Proctor was an outstanding success with around £3000 raised for the Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths, Registered Charity No. 262191. The night kicked off with a wonderful acoustic set from local singer songwriter Tom Griffiths which was warmly received by the 500 strong crowd, followed by a 45min set of rock covers by the band Conspiricy of Equals and a headlining 2hr set from Monkey Harris featuring new songs by the Kaiser Chiefs, Killers, and Coldplay. The night also served as a Reunion for ex Poynton High School members who were affected by the death of Sam Proctor in 1985, and for band members Dave Miles and Peter Lee it was great to see friends again from the past 20 years, and they would like to thank everyone who made the effort to support the gig, particularly Chris Peake who flew especially from his home in California USA for the event and to those who broke their backs selling tickets (Steve Church / James Rhodes / John Siddall and many more) which resulted in the night being such a success.

CHARITY GIG 23-01-06
Band members Pete and Dave have been approached by their former form tutor at Poynton High School, Mr. Proctor, to perform at a Charity gig in memory of his first born son Sam who sadly passed away when only a few months old. The 5th of March would have been Sam's 21st birthday, and he
didn't want the day to pass uncelebrated, so he has asked them to perform at a do in memory of Sam at the Woodford War Memorial Hall on Friday 10th March, in aid of The Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths, Registered Charity No. 262191.Naturally Pete and Dave were only too pleased to be asked and to help raise funds, having been part of
GJP which contributed with various fund raising activities to buy an APNEA monitor, 1985 after Sam's passing.
He was also hoping that we could get together as many of the old form, and people from the year 1982- 89, and anyone else who Mr Proctor
taught, as a kind of reunion as well. It would be greatly appreciated if anyone who reads this could mention it to anyone who would be interested in attending, or anyone else they are still in contact with from the school days.
Tickets will be £5 with all proceeds
going to the charity FSID.
The event is open to anyone, not just people who know Mr.P, so the more the merrier for a good cause.
